I accidentaly stopped my meds, and now I'm not sure what to do..

Talking about the meds I'm taking for C-PTSD. I haven't taken them in about a week now, while waiting for them to give me the right dosage..

Now that I've gone a week without, I'm thinking that maybe I should just continue without them for a bit and see how it goes..

I already know my doctor would tell me no, they're afraid that I'm going to collapse or something.. But I've wanted to get off them for a long time now.

Idk..

If anyone has suddenly stopped taking sertraline/zoloft, how was the side-effects? More importantly, how long did they last 🥹

I understand you can feel their answer coming already, and I understand you don't like being on meds. Maybe follow their instructions until you get yourself to a better place, mentally, and then focus on weaning off?

@SinlessOnslaught yes, but how will I know I'm getting better, if I keep suppressing my feelings with drugs, that simply just numb me 🥹
@Cassieeeee I know what you mean. I was on a medication that made me like a zombie and then my doctor suddenly stopped prescribing it without notice. It was hell. I would have much rather dropped the dosage in small increments.
@Cassieeeee and that is why I won't start any.

(Sorry to throw in a random 2 cents)
