If I randomly disappeared for 20 minutes, chances are I got distracted by a smell.

I feel ya, except for me it’s a sound. Any weird random sound. I’m half deaf at the conversation levels of sound, but I can hear high pitch and low pitch sounds that most others can’t, and it drives me crazy.
