Why is there something when there can be nothing?

(I will ask myself this question more often)
PleasurePunch · 100+
Its a deep serious question in physics and philosophy and I'm an ordinary slob so I cant say I know. I am more baffled at questions like what existed before there was anything? Like...before the Big Bang. And what is the nature of Dark Matter and why don't we know more about that by now?

And also if we are part of the Light Matter what enlightens us?
@PleasurePunch It's too bad that humans spend so much time and money on war, that we'll never really know the answers to these questions.

Because Nothing remains forever.

@in10RjFox Nobody for President. Nobody can do it like that one.

Because it is something, and something couldn't be nothing.

@cinsac Unless, of course, it is.
@RedBaron Nonetheless, the fact that we are discussing nothing, makes it something. As abstract as that may seem.

@cinsac Unless, of course, it doesn’t.

Why do people make something out of nothing?
@RedBaron For attention.
CBarson · 51-55
@RedBaron Why does the universe do this?

@CBarson
there can be nothing
Can there - Have you tried to 'picture' that? Can there still be nothing if there's no one to see that there's nothing there? Dwoo-dwoo-dwoo.
CBarson · 51-55
@Really I have tried repeatedly in my meditations, and, for one brief, fleeting moment, actually achieved it

Even a nothing burger has something to put ketchup on. Case closed.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
There is never nothing.
