Being the akward new person.

I joined a youth cultural center and made friends there. I've only been there for a few months, while they've been there for a long time. I've noticed that when I talk to them, I overshare too much – my problems, my family, my silly thoughts, etc. I think I've alienated them a bit. Am I a silly person or something? I don't know.

It's often easy to overshare in new situations... Maybe slow down a tad and listen more rather than talk, ...

idk but it could be tmi and if it's bad stuff they could think ill of you for it .. just be aware of what you are taking about and how people may react to it

It is best to avoid oversharing until you and the group members are fully comfortable with each other.
