Do you ever play out a scenario in your mind to its conclusion and then just avoid it?

Example: I see someone that I like, I play out the entire scenario in my head and when I reach the point in the imagined relationship where I'm bored I realise that there's no point, so I move on before I've even started 🤔

All the time but not stuff like that. 😆 I must say it got a bit better than it was in my teens and early 20s. I was catastrophizing every imagined travel then. Now I'm more like "would I enjoy doing this?"..."um...nope" Case closed. 😅

Yeah, more often than I like

But, that is a combination of me forgetting and losing motivation in dealing with a dying situation. More times than not, the situation kinda of disappears into oblivion.

Oh, yes. That's pretty much how I've stayed single and happy for over 2 years

There have been plenty of times I have typed out a lengthy reply to a post, either here or elsewhere, and then decide "it's not worth it" and never post the reply.

@come2gether It doesn't involve others if you never get to the stage of any kind of relationship. If you know you can't parent then you shouldn't have kids. If you know you can't relationship then you shouldn't have relationships. It's simple honesty and integrity.
