Yes, we might very well do one of the following:

Accept the tariffs
Capitulate completely
Say thank you for the tariffs
Have some tea and think about the tariffs
Try to distract the public from the fact that we'll do nothing about the tariffs.

The bottom Line is this ...
Do nothing about the tariffs... Yes, your exports might suffer a bit of a hit, but only if the states can replace your imports with Homer grown things, and that takes time

Meanwhile if you put your own tariffs in place your people's cost of living increases

@Convivial Actually, the best tariff we might have is "Buy British" - and support local, independent stores.

Best thing is that it works, regardless of what Starmer might or might not do.
