Racists, those who make it a point to treat everyone they interact with poorly so muting them does no good, Those who stalk people who block them with alts. Drama mongers, bullies. Stalkerish types in general who rather than strike up a normal conversation prefer to antagonize while following. They enjoy bananas. 😾 Such crimes against nature can NEVER be forgiven!


Also more often than not, I tend to be the one blocked. I'm REALLY honest. Tactfully so, but people on here seriously hate it when you don't give a damn about their opinions of you or the things you do. Many of them have had me blocked for years and I can guarantee most don't even remember why. I'm ok with it staying that way. It's super peaceful on my end 🙂‍↕

I don't block people easily! They have to be really horrible for me to block them, and if I do, it has to be serious enough to report them.

If I'm reporting someone, I also send out a friend alert chain to watch out for that offender. That means their behavior was truly unacceptable.

It takes a lot to get me to block someone......and I mean a lot!

I used to block because I couldn't stand the sight of such, but now i'm not gonna block and instead convert them into nice respectable people!!

It is called self sense / sanity preservation.

If they persistently and deliberately make racist comments, or continually launch personal attacks with vile language, then I don't need to put up with it. If they are under 18 (or pretend to be) and haven't declared it, they're gone. If they express political views I don't agree with, that's fine if they engage respectfully. I like hearing from people who have a different perspective: it's one of the reasons I joined.

Interestingly, there are several comments here, I can't see because they are from people who have blocked me (or vice versa) which is a shame, but that's the consequence.

I do it very rarely and only when I'm being harassed with bizarre fetish requests. They run rampant on here :/

1. If they are disrespectful in their comments to me or others. I could accept different opinions, but people who endlessly argue should not be on my feed.

2. They block me, I block back. Simple.

3. They don’t like what I have to say and made it clear to me. I’ll save them the trouble of not seeing any future posts from me.

Rude or insulting or talking down to me.

I block the terminally rude, the relentlessly argumentative, perverts, Satanists, narcissists whose posts are basically about "look at me, look at me", and whiners who can't seem to stop whining, and those who are full on crazy and can't hide it.

I'll mute someone if their content keeps appearing on my feed and I have no interest in it first.

That way I don't usually have to block anyone unless they're going out of their way to annoy me which isn't that often.

Usually I do not block people. People block me. I then block them so that just in case they unblock me , they will know that they are not welcome.

I actually don’t block anyone. Not a soul. It’s easy to ignore them and I have no hang ups. I’d rather know what fucked up shit is around than not know.

Certain individuals leave you no choice. When someone has terrible character, zero values, and absolutely no self-awareness, keeping them blocked is just protecting your peace.
