Having a Black male candidate on Trump's ticket could either attract Black votes or infuriate the black community, motivating them to vote against him

I've had political conversations with numerous Black men in Georgia who are disillusioned with Biden, particularly due to the current economic conditions. Soaring inflation and high interest rates have made it difficult to make ends meet. Despite salary increases, many Americans are struggling more now than they did before Biden assumed office.

Black women, however, for the most, hold a different view. Democrats have effectively portrayed Trump not only as a racist aiming to regress the progress of the black community but also as a misogynist who holds disdain for Black women. Moreover, opting for a Black male vice president instead of a black female vice president like Kamala Harris may evoke a sense of setback among black women. Historically, white Democrats have persuaded them that Black men pose the greatest threat to their success in America. This narrative traces back to the days of slavery. It is more probable that choosing a Black man for VP will mobilize a significant number of Black women to cast their votes against Trump.

Saying it that way, it seems qualifications don't matter. To me a person's qualifications are the only things important.
