Why does noone use tea cosies anymore?

Well I live in the USA and my house is warm enough that we don’t really need to use them. The pot keeps the tea warm till we have the tea. These are cute but they are probably the type of thing little grandmas like to use. Kind of like the bathroom toilet seat covers that some of them used in the winter when there wasn’t central heating and the toilet seats got cold.

How do you know "no-one" does?

I do occasionally, when making a pot rather than single mug of tea.

A friend always uses one when our circle meet at her home.

I do on the rare occasion that I use my teapot. But mostly I make tea in a cafetière and that is wrapped in a thick woollen walking sock. :-)

I didn't even know they existed until recently.

Got rid of the tea pot, so now it`s my winter hat.

They look tacky to me

Hardly anyone uses tea pots anymore...

Liverpool Scousers are using them to rob convenience stores

Pixies are using then as hats.

They were declared too woke by DOGE.

It comes out once or twice a year..not an everyday thing !

They are another piece of clutter.
