Why are people of color so against being called colored people? It means the exact same thing.

i've seen "white" people get more triggered by whites describing people of colour calling them "coloured" more than coloured people calling them coloured....i don't get triggered if a coloured person describes me as a white person whether that be asian, africans etc who i have associated with
