Do you get a tetanus shot every 10 years? I haven't had one since my 20s. The doctor's office asked did I want one today.

@exexec my suggestion is don't delay! Nowadays they are generally given together with pertussis vaccine. Travelling a year ago my husband and I both got pertussis, which is really going around. My husband had not been vaccinated in over 10 years and he got a severe case. My vaccination was more recent and I got only a mild case.
