He's happily married now to a good woman. He was a very good kind friend once, but our circumstances prevented anything more.

I haven't been in love in a very long time because I guess I became older and wiser and although I show my heart to everyone, I take care not to have it used by toxic or temporary people. I had been in love only twice in my life and both times the men that held my heart in their hands broke me in many ways while I was left to pick up the pieces they left scattered all over the battlefield they called love.

Like sunlight into a dark room, her presence was radiant and invigorating.
Breathing life into reaches of the heart where once there was none.
Fortune favoured two strangers. Destiny, united 2 souls; never intended to be apart.
Our unspoken connection was electric. Palpable. Resonating in the space between us.
Beautiful; beguiling, forever haunting. In my memory, she'll always remain.

I am still in love with my wife, sadly she passed away in November 2020 from MND. I will love her forever, she was taken far too soon.

Hmmm, I can think of (maybe) three, but one in particular, but I don't know if it's still a he/she kind of love or if it's more I miss them more than anyone I've ever known. Miss them, admire them and at the same time, I know there was no universe in which we could have lasted longer than we did.

My hubby what shall I tell
She was my early childhood friend from September 1976 to July 1980, my memory of her kept me going the entire eight years from 1980 to 1988, from my ages of 10 to 18, when there were times I wanted to give up. I finally connected back with her in May 1993, talked a few times on the phone and visited her mother a few times at the sports bar she owned. Every time I tried to meet up with her she never showed up, always giving an excuse. When I finally saw her at her mother's sports bar when she came in when I was already there she wouldn't give me the time of day. I paid for my beer, gave her mother a tip, walked out, and never looked back. Later that night on my way home on the public bus, I stopped at a church that stayed open all night, went inside and bawled my eyes out. This was 31 years ago.
