Do you think many on SW have multiple accounts?

some do, and are honest about it ..

I’m the only user here. Everyone else is either my alt or a bot.

I couldn't be bothered having multiple accounts. Someone who does that has some insecurity issues.

Oh they absolutely do. Most people if honest will admit to 2 total. Others have 3 and they are allowed to do so. Then you get into this multiple accounts thing… with more than 3 and some… I give up trying to count!

I think many do. Especially those from EP who wants a new role in the community.

I could start a second account for all my mental health focused content, I thought about it but I decided to mix it in with my main and just show different sides of me as that's more genuine.

I also feel like I'm betraying myself if I get a second account. Like I'm not good enough on my main. So no alts so far. I have no use of it.

It is what it is. Call them out if they use their alt accounts in any negative ways to attack other users. It's all there's to say.

It is my experience and opinion that members who say things like "this is my one and only account", or "I have enough trouble keeping up with this account"; are usually the ones with the most alt accounts.

I think a lot do, but many don't post with their alts- they just spy.

Some have vent alts.

Some do, some don't. I have no need to have another account. Their reasons don't apply to me. Mostly because I don't block anyone.

Hmm people keep saying "everyone has two accounts" but it's probably not true. I think most people have created new accounts at some point, but few people actually have dual-accounts. I have two because this one's for chatting, and the other one is supposed to be for posts I actually find interesting, which I can show to friends and family. Like, it's just where I'll store my writing if I actually start writing short stories again haha.

The ones who do are probably unemployed losers living in their parents' basements 🤣😂🤣😂

I only have 1 account. I think some of the users have sock puppet accounts and some have more than one to be really anonymous. If Admins' greenlight the anon feature (big if I don't know if they will) the sock puppets will stay but the 2nd more anonymous will likely go away.

Many only need one. But some need many.

Yes I know and know of people who have 10 or 20 facebook accounts so it's the same here but not alot I assume most of us have just one or two. I have 2 rarely use the other but it's my one I don't block or mess with at all just for looking at sw at it's worst 🙂

Its true if you don't have much going in your real life then you fall for internet and the more you get involved online the more you are disconnected from the real World around.

I had one alt that I didn't do much with but I've gotten rid of it.

I think lots do. I have a second account that I used for reporting pedophiles but since you get blocked on both accounts when you report there’s no point in having it now so I need to delete it.

I would say most have 2 accounts, I did until I had trouble posting questions so deleted it thinking that maybe the problem.

It was not, SW Team shadow banned me from posting questions

When you first sign up as a new member of SW, the instructions for joining actually highlight the fact that you can have up to 3 username accounts which this site's Webmaster actually encourages for the sake of "having some fun!".

That is some weird, twisted sh*t if you ask me. 🤨
