Anyone on here have experience on playing a Theremin, and was/is it hard to get good at?

I wouldn't think it would be hard to play. I wouldn't have any idea where to get one.
Since you're somewhat of a sci-fi fan, did you see the iriginal movie, "The Day The Earth Stood Still?" (1951) The theramin was used in the soundtrack of that film. Or, is that where you became familiar with it?
