You have nothing to hold on to, which is why in order to keep a sound up, you need your hands to be absolutely motionless, but then again change to another position in order to change the sound. Can be tiring.

@scooogy Nope,no big difference.His stable right hand controls the volume while the left goes towards changing the pitch of the tone. I've played the huge vintage cabinet models and own a smaller one,it takes less physical effort than typing this.
