Mask mandate from the fucking start woulda cut things down massively, and a partial lockdown banning dining in & indoor events woulda gotten most of the rest done. Full lockdowns would only be necessary in disease epicenters.

i dont think theres any way of completely stopping it since its a virus and you would have to stop all travel. this is why the virus is getting worse in a lot of countries

I would take safety precautions, not lock down because lockdowns just do not work at all, and protect the vulnerable by making sure they were taken care of and don't have to worry.

Continue to get people vaccinated, for one thing. The number of cases are decreasing, which isn’t a coincidence. Possibly it would mean less vulnerability to the newer strains.
