We met at dawn on the streets of Paris. And I, being the better man, quickly overcame my adversary. I ran him through with my sword, then retired to a nearby café.

As I sat there, drinking my coffee and enjoying a well-earned croissant, a man came rushing in to the cafe, sweat on his brow. "I am searching for Shadowfire," he shouted.

"I am Shadowfire," said I.

"And what have you been doing this morning?" he asked.

"What have I been doing?" I replied.

"Yes, what have you been doing?" he asked.

"Why, I have been dueling," said I.

"Dueling?" he asked.

"Yes, dueling," said I.

"With whom have you been dueling?"

"Commander Green of the Queen's Marines."

"No! Not Commander Green of the Queen's Marines!"

"Yes, Commander Green of the Queen's Marines."

"But he is my brother!"

"Your brother?" said I.

"Yes, my brother! And now we must fight!"

"Must we fight?" said I.

"Yes, we must fight!"

"Very well," said I. "We will fight."

And so...
