And so now he's changed his mind again.
Not only does my father want to continue doing business with these people, he has made it quite clear he thinks he's a corporation of one.
My mother and I don't count.
And not only that, he considers me ungrateful. Because he's fully convinced I'm going to inherit hundreds of thousands, or even millions, and I'm just treating him like dirt by giving feedback and advice.
My favorite moment this week? I was driving him home from the city of Portland on Tuesday, and he wanted to know why all the constant criticism. Which to him, criticism is literally the same thing as hate, and I never understood where that comes from. So I told him. "Dad, do you know how I treat people I actually hate? Like Andrew? I'll tell you. When he does horrible things, when he treats me like garbage, I don't say anything to him, because I hate him and don't care whether he lives or dies, and then I just talk about him behind his back."
And my dad said, "That sounds good. Do that."
So he literally wants me to treat him as if I hate him. Allow him to screw up at every turn without offering help or advice and trash talk him behind his back.
Fine. I guess I hate him.
