Riddle Me This. #4

[c=665D00][big]In a play that so few dare to tread,[/big][/c]
[c=665D00]Lies a story shrouded in [/c][c=7700B2]mystery[/c] [c=BF0080]and [/c][c=800000]dread[/c].
[c=A69800]The first act paints you pictures oh so clear,
Of a world long gone,[/c] [c=804600]but oh so dear.
[/c]
[c=7700B2]Yet the second act, the shadows grow,
And twisted visions begin to flow.[/c]
[c=BF0080]Your mind, it spirals far[/c] [c=BF0000]out of control,[/c]
[c=BF0080]With each word taking a[/c] [c=BF0000]darker toll.[/c]

[c=800000]But be warned, for the third act lies in wait,[/c]
[c=A69800]A trap for the[/c] [c=BF0000]unwary[/c][c=A69800], it [/c][c=BF0000][big]seals your fate[/big][/c].
[c=A69800]It leads you down a path of[/c] [c=BF6900]madness and fear[/c],
[c=A69800]A descent into a [/c][c=665D00]horrible world[/c][c=BF6900] so[/c] [c=BF6900]unclear[/c].

[c=A69800]So take heed, my friend, and be careful in kind,[/c]
[c=A69800]For the play that I speak of, it messes with your[/c] [c=800000]mind[/c][c=A69800].[/c]

[big]What Am I?[/big]

[c=359E00]Four hours have passed, without a solution so true,
A large clue I'll provide, to help you get through.
The story I reference is from a[/c] [c=665D00]Lovecraftian tale,
[/c][c=665D00]The story, a madness that'll leave you pale.[/c]

The King in Yellow
@JessiBelleW Finally someone got it! ^^ Honestly surprised it took so long.

[c=359E00]I added the first clue that will help you along,
In solving the riddle, which has gone far too long.
Some[/c] [c=A69800]colors [/c][c=359E00]have meaning, that much is true,
[/c][c=359E00]So pay some closer attention to their[/c] [c=665D00]hue[/c].

You're some person posting on SW....
@originnone
I've been going all night, but it's a sham,
My prose is boring and standard as spam.
My words are stagnant, like a pond in the sun,
I need to make them dance, and have some fun.

@DrRiddler My favorite poem came from a comic book years ago...A villain wrote it.

"This am remind me of Christmas poem...
Christmas time now am here
Excuse me while I scratch my ear.
Unmerry Christmans, Dummies...."

classic!
@originnone That was actually painful to read, I love it.

Let me guess:it's your life's ambition to me a comic book villain....
@DavidT8899 Nope, JessiBelleW got it though.

@DrRiddler It's so cute the way you talk in rhyme/when I read your posts I know I'll have a good time/but some may take your manner as being silly and immature/a sort of emotional disease for which you badly need a cure

The Care Bears movie
@MrEagle I mean, closest guess so far.
MrEagle · 41-45, M
@DrRiddler I try.
IM5688 · 61-69, M
A horror movie?
@IM5688 Technically it's from a book rather than a movie.
