Do you still spend time on things and people you don't like if you aren't obligated to deal with them? Or do you just outright ignore and skip?

Sometimes, I do think politeness and manners can do its own kind of harm.

Sometimes when people are not in the mood, we end up selective to preserve energy on what and who we count as priorities.

But sometimes even if we do like things and people, we still make them wait just because.

So sometimes when I don't reply, sometimes it's not you but me. Maybe I'm looking for something better or maybe I'm looking for myself.

I only skip and ignore people in my personal life. In the Bible a lawyer that was beaten and robbed went unnoticed or unhelped by the people around him even the clergy, then was helped by someone that was supposed to be an enemy to his people, and Jesus said Love thy neighbor and the lawyer asked who is my neighbor and Jesus answered the one that helped you. The good Samaritan.

This was probably off topic.

it's the most important thing to be authentic so that life can be real...

@Casheyane we won't be perfect but we still need to daily strive to be real and authentic and love no matter what. Real love comes from authenticity.
Of course we need to be patient, to have some amount of tolerance.
But too much of it and it grows into resentment.

@being What if you can't quit? Because no one can handle when you're authentic. Because the ones who need you aren't willing to do the deed so you couldn't be free.

@Casheyane there are lots of things you can do, always.
One is, in order to not disturb harmony, to go slow. Small victories of authenticity. Small "No, today I need to tend to this x, but will do tomorrow." Softer things.. and once you gain some more control, then from a healthier place you see the next thing.
But these small steps need be consistent.

A minute of break before making the next choice too helps.

I don't know if I offer any value here, I can't tell.

If it's something important or work related, yes, I do. Especially now that I have a leadership role, I am obligated to do so.

I cannot cut out every difficult person unless I move to the moon or something,
Different levels of interaction. I do spend less time and less energy on those folks.
