OMG...Complete disaster I have been FRAMED. It was raining last night so I went and collected my young neighbours washing from the drying line

as I would have been deeply upset for the young woman if these clothes had been soaked. I put them under my mattress to dry and, inadvertently I forgot all about them. You could have knocked me over with a feather when only 2 weeks later the police turned up and asked to see under my bed as they were investigating claims that underwear was being stolen from washing lines during the night. I was shocked and stunned to find that they had discovered several items of clothing under my mattress which they said had been stolen from said washing lines. I I was crestfallen, I explained that I was merely trying to save the clothing from being soaked and was trying to do a service. The Officer asked why it was that I only saved women's undergarments and once again I was taken aback, I explained that they tended to be very expensive and that is why I saved them first. My case comes up tomorrow...is there anyone on SW that would be kind enough to give a character witness0. I thank you in advance.
