Fun fact about me:

My childhood nickname was Space Cowboy.

It was because I wore cowboy boots, swimming goggles, & a red cape AT ALL TIMES.
When I outgrew the boots I would cry because they hurt my feet but I refused to take them off still. My parents got me some Toy Story boots & I wouldn't wear them because "they weren't the same boots". Apparently I only liked the real deal cowboy boots 😂 so my uncle went & paid a few hundred for a new pair for me. Then I continued being Space Cowboy 😎

The family likes to remind me sometimes still even now as an adult 😂

I wanna be a cowboy. And you can be my cow girl.

You never knew this song cause it was before your time. Otherwise you would hate me for posting it. 😄

@ChiefJustWalks Oh yeah it is funny the first time or two but back when it was new it was every other song on the radio. That was NOT funny back then.

@Punches oh geez... You mean like people took it seriously? 👀 I thought it was meant as a joke 🤣

@ChiefJustWalks I do not know how serious people took it but like any song that just came out, it got over played.

I am not familiar with how music goes today but at least in the 80's there were some really cheezy songs that people just loved.
TODAY none of the Gen X people would ever admit to liking them though...

THE WORST was some song called "Walk like an Egyptian. The fact that there was a dance to go along with it is mortifying. Yeah you look up THAT video at your own risk and don't say I didn't warn you.

It was so bad that there was f*cking MERCH involving that song.

@Punches I just looked it up outta curiosity 😅 it's alright, nothing crazy. But the comments were cracking me up 🤣 one dude said "I went to Egypt & it broke my heart when I saw people just walking normally"

@ChiefJustWalks Oh my gyod I tell ya that is funny right there. 😄

It was just one of those really corny things then. Ya know, sometimes young people say they wish they had been around in the 80's.
What they are unaware of is some of the cringe-worthy stuff.

@Punches I grew up loving "Walk Like An Egyptian", as well as Steve Martin's "King Tut".
