Fun fact about me:

My childhood nickname was Space Cowboy.

It was because I wore cowboy boots, swimming goggles, & a red cape AT ALL TIMES.
When I outgrew the boots I would cry because they hurt my feet but I refused to take them off still. My parents got me some Toy Story boots & I wouldn't wear them because "they weren't the same boots". Apparently I only liked the real deal cowboy boots 😂 so my uncle went & paid a few hundred for a new pair for me. Then I continued being Space Cowboy 😎

The family likes to remind me sometimes still even now as an adult 😂

@bijouxbroussard what's it mean? 😅
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@bijouxbroussard I looked it up several years ago. It was borrowed from another song back in the '50s that had a spoken lyric part, and the singer basically made up words that sounded impressive to him. One of them was the "puppetudes" of love, which Steve misheard as pompatus.

@ChiefWalksWith40oz Honestly, we never knew.
@LordShadowfire That makes sense. 😄

I wanna be a cowboy. And you can be my cow girl.

You never knew this song cause it was before your time. Otherwise you would hate me for posting it. 😄

@CestManan I just looked it up outta curiosity 😅 it's alright, nothing crazy. But the comments were cracking me up 🤣 one dude said "I went to Egypt & it broke my heart when I saw people just walking normally"

@ChiefWalksWith40oz Oh my gyod I tell ya that is funny right there. 😄

It was just one of those really corny things then. Ya know, sometimes young people say they wish they had been around in the 80's.
What they are unaware of is some of the cringe-worthy stuff.

@CestManan I grew up loving "Walk Like An Egyptian", as well as Steve Martin's "King Tut".

@ChiefWalksWith40oz I am glad you have memories like that from your childhood. I know it wasn’t all great.
@iamonfire696 yeah things were kind normal before mom left. Only negative thing I remember was them fighting all the time & it getting worse over time. I just ignored it.
But I have good memories too like all of us drinking hot chocolate together in front of the fireplace when my dad bought our first house. We had no furniture yet so we slept on blankets by the fireplace that first night.

I still have a burn on my wrist from that fireplace 😂 it had a glass blocking the fire & I tested to see if it was hot... It was lol

@ChiefWalksWith40oz I am glad you have some normal memories. I have some too, and a lot of bad ones.

Did your friends call you the gangster of love?
