Have you ever been catfished on here?

I can usually tell pretty early in the conversation if someone is being dishonest or not being themselves. I don’t pm much though. There are people I would like to know more deeply here, that I know are real, but it’s never the ones that want to talk to me 😆

I don’t think so. EP was a great training ground for this, (as well as real life) so by the time I joined SW, I’d gone through a drastic internal metamorphosis.

Catfish are a tradition here on SW. They do their part by keeping the rest of us entertained.

I don't think so. When someone tries to portray themselves as something they're not their story will fall flat at some point.

A few have tried, but generally speaking no. It's never been a major issue.
I have one guy who tries to contact me over and over with new nicknames and I figure it out it's him VERY quickly. lol

Not here, no. On EP I was cat-fished by a a couple of high school girls pretending to be Selena.

I have received some private messages like that, but it is so obvious what they are about that I ignore them.

I know of quite a few.. as long as they don't bother me I'll usually play along..

I’m not sure as much catfished as much as people with shitty intentions pretending, but then their true intentions come through after awhile and I’m disappointed because I thought they were cool and enjoyed the regular conversation. 🤷🏻‍♀️

If it's obvious they're being silly I can let that pass, but if they're jerking my chain no, I end the conversation.

I don't really think about whether someone looks like they say on here. I am more interested in knowing them as a person so to catfish me would be silly.

I always know when they are lying about being the person in the picture. If people don’t want to share their picture that’s fine. I respect that .
