I'm currently waiting for a call back. From a doctor's office... Trying to get a damn Doctor's note to save my job. How is my job in jeopardy? Well...
Basically, We are only allowed 6 points, right? I had 4.5 after some falling off because of days I didn't go in for my back. Each call off is a point. So I missed four shifts due to my back acting up and one time having pink eye and was late one time. That's where the point five comes in. Well. I called off the day I hurt my ankle. So that's one more (5.5) and I went home early Saturday because there was literally nothing I can do while being on crutches, I have to have a walking boot and no crutches because it's a floor safety hazard, so there's another point (6.5) Kinlee (my AMAZING boss) called me from her cell yesterday and told me to get a doctor note to her that day that was backdated for when I first hurt it and would cover me for the week because she couldn't just give me the week off. So. Given that yesterday was Sunday and the doctors offices are closed, I went to the er and asked them about a note. The ER doesn't backdate notes and they don't give time off extentions. They said the best I can do is go see my primary care physician. So I went to the store and when I told Kinlee that, she said she would take me off the schedule for Monday and wants me to call my doctor Monday and get a note. I know for a fact I won't get in because it's so last minute, but I am gonna call and see how soon they can get me in. She said to text her cell and let her know what was happening. She said if I can get the note, they may drop the last couple points due to injury and it would give me coverage.
She also said "This is the last time I am saving you, My child" 😂 Love that boss.
Anyways. So today... I call my doctor's office and the soonest she can see me is September 9th. I explained the situation to her receptionist and she said she'd would send the nurse a message to see if there was anything the nurse could do as far as a note. In the meantime, I've been working on finding other doctors that might see me and write a note. The soonest anyone could get me in is August third. I can't help but wonder if the walk in clinic would be able to write me a note? 🤔
