Internet Addiction

YouTube videos, songs, rabbit holes into interesting topics - all of these things and more are a part of my internet addiction. I want to better my life so I can be successful and be proud of who I am but that means getting out of my addictions and old ways. How do you get rid of these addictions? How do you help rid yourself of the addictions you're faced with?

First learn a lot about why these addictions happen. All these platforms are designed to depress you and stress you first and then reward you with short lived entertainment so you continue to use them. Then commit to reducing things that give you that dopamine rush so quickly ,less time on socials ,porn ,music ,movies etc . More time with no noise ,meditating ,then slowly things like reading books taking walks etc will feel enjoyable again . But it takes a lot of work really it truly is an addiction I think most people suffer from without even realising and it was only ever exaggerated since Covid and making things like work and school depend on technology too
