I made a stupid purchase of a dresser and I'm trying to make it less awful

So I glued back the broken wood pieces of the top drawer, sanded the drawer and applied candle wax to its underside and it made a world of difference, you can even hear it!

The first one is an untreated drawer and the second one is the one I did those things to
