She told me not to get my hopes up

I was stupid to get carried away yesterday, and should know by now that it's pretty much not possible for women to be interested in me. But I'm happy to just be friends, because I quite like hanging out with her. At least I know for sure now.

You should create a dating site just for nerds. JustForNerds.com. Where you can set-up forums for Warhammer and Pathfinder, etc and connect with people through there. I think you would do well there Dan.
