Are you trying to improve yourself?

Are you doing something everyday to improve your life, and yourself.

Do you have goals? Are you disciplined? These are a couple things
we need to improve ourselves.

Think about your goals every day, and do something every day, no matter how
small to move the needle.

Honestly, I’m not totally sure. I’ve been working a lot and kind of taking my health for granted. I know I want to do better, but I haven’t really figured out how to balance everything yet. I guess just being aware of that is a start.

@mindstruggle It's all about goals, or knowing where you want to be in 5-10 years. Once you know
where you want to be, you can start making little changes everyday that steers you towards where
you want to be.

Don't let the day to day life tell you what to do, You are the boss, You tell yourself what to do, in order
to get where you want to go......Does that make sense? 🤔.
Keeper · M
Sure do.

But it’s more “situationally”, how I respond and how I’m viewed by others.

Self awareness stuff.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Keeper please explain.
Keeper · M
@DogMan Things like working out, eating well, and making progress in my career — I put all of that in a separate category. For me, those are part of the daily routine, something repetitive and structured.

What I’m really focusing on is being more present and intentional in specific situations that fall outside of that routine. One on one interactions and things of that nature.

@Keeper Nice. I like it! Working out and watching what goes into your body is huge. I have been a gym rat
for almost 45 years. I have done my fair share of partying and drinking throughout that time, But I always put
my health first. Sure I would hit the bars on Saturday night, but I always worked out first, and took my
vitamins. 😁

Yes I am, it's not easy but I am trying
akindheart · 61-69, F
Yes, Yes and Yes...I do have all of the above
DogMan · 61-69, M
@akindheart I figured you would be in that category Sweet Heart 😉
Magenta · F
To an extent, yes, But not hardcore, I prefer living life in more of a freedom.
Every.Single.Day. Not always something major, but always something toward a better tomorrow.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I have days when I only do what needs to be done, therefore just bare minimum.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@CrazyMusicLover Everyone needs a break now and then.
YoMomma · 41-45
Not every day 😳
SaorUladh · 31-35, M
I push myself to fairly extreme lengths on a regular basis.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@SaorUladh Just remember to enjoy what you have worked hard for.
SaorUladh · 31-35, M
@DogMan
That is good advice. I often fail to appreciate achievements or successes and focus entirely on whatever the next thing is.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@SaorUladh It helps you focus on the really important stuff. I'm semi retired, and focusing more on my wife,
who helped me so much through the last 30 years. I have spent 40 + years in the commercial construction
industry.
Iwillwait · M
Not to the level to should be.
DogMan · 61-69, M
@Iwillwait Do you know where you want to be in 5 years? 10 years? Think about it, and make
adjustments.
Iwillwait · M
@DogMan I want to be financially sound and be close to retiring.
