Back to the drawing board…for now.

I still have my work at home job, but I’ve decided I’ve outgrown the field of customer service in general. I’m looking for a position that doesn’t require me to talk on the phone, and will settle for a chat job, but can never find one. The ones that are out there either 1: don’t care to respond, which is annoying, 2: are closed from applying anymore, or 3: aren’t legitimate. And I love the ones who say they are chat but are either both chat and phone jobs, or they’re just phone jobs. Those are the ones you wanna be weary of because they prove to be dishonest from the get-go.

My goal is to gradually work my way out of customer service, and build myself in other skill sets. I want to make a point to become self sufficient and free to make my own schedule without a boss. As a matter of fact, I am determined to become my own boss and forget working for corporations or anyone for that matter except my own customers.

Is it too much to ask that there be more legitimate chat jobs available to people who don’t want to hear nasty language over the phone all the time? I’m a true empath who can’t help tearing up when someone begins screaming and swearing in my ear when I did absolutely nothing wrong. So if anyone who runs a chat business is looking at this (which I doubt there are), please, I beg of you: Make yourselves known to places like Indeed and Careerbuilder, and Monster, and LinkedIn. It would be greatly appreciated!

Dear friend, I would suggest you apply for every job out there no matter if you feel qualified or not. I say this because 90% of the jobs out there are posted by recruiters and head hunters that are basically fishing for resumes. Even if you apply for a job as a CEO of a company or Janitor, the recruiter would get their hands on your resume and will contact you because that is their job. I believe in you and believe you can do anything and more. Dont get discouraged if you dont hear anything right away. I've been on Indeed and have gotten 100+ rejection emails. But I also do have some interviews and potential leads. Good luck Friend!

@B2nd2none thank you.🙂 I wouldn’t go as far as CEO, but I will definitely look around.

I've been searching all over for a remote data entry job and they seem to be very scarce!!

Me too, those are very hard to find. Most of them say data entry and end up being surveys that you’re not sure are real jobs. @DearAmbellina2113

Consider becoming a real estate agent.
