Make a list of questions you have. Take the list to your doctor and ask questions.

A few years ago, I failed a stress test, my GP wound up sending me for angioplasty. Luckily I didn't have any blockages but post procedure, I talked to the cardiologist for almost 45 minutes. He answered my questions and my stress level went way down.

I get very high anxiety in doctors offices. Especially when they take blood pressure. I mean my heart races so much it's off the chart for a pressure reading. I told my doctor she only gets an accurate reading if she keeps talking to me, and doesn't announce taking the BP. It helps it go way down!! But I've had an EKG once when it was a high pressure reading, and due to anxiety during the EKG, THAT came out skewed too. So I knew that it was a bit off BECAUSE of my anxiety. SO Just ask your doctor could the EKG be off because of your anxiety during the procedure.

@Coralmist thanks, i thought it was due to my high anxiety levels too, it can affect the readings.
