People are so cheap!!!

I am selling some of my old items online on vinted and I am offering these snow boots barely worn for £2, and one woman is begging me to make it cheaper , I asked her how cheaper? She said at least do £1.50!!and am selling this coat that I barely worn was originally for £100 for £15 and this woman asked if I can make it £12 ! And this is not an isolated case many times people are asking me to discount stuff that already highly discounted, I am not selling for money I am trying to get rid of things in a sustainable manner before we move but I am not going to package and ship something for a measley £1.5 I rather just bin it. It costs me more to do it because I have to go to the post office the website doesn't offer collection and then I get hungry from going all the way there and have to buy coffee and snacks so it ends up being more expensive to sell it than throwing it away, this is why no one is recycling anymore.

Some people are addicted to the haggling. For them it's not really about cheap it is, but about how much they can talk someone down from their original asking price. You could try to sell a 100 note (I don't know what denominations pounds come in) for 50, and they would ask if you could do 40 just to feel like they got a leg up on you.

@ViciDraco In my travels I learned to haggle properly. The last opportunity I got was a long time ago in the Gold Souks of Dubai. I was spending a couple of $K on gold bracelets for wife and daughter and we had an animated back and forth for ten minutes in the shop doing it right. "You steal the bread from my childrens mouths" Both thoroughly enjoying it..😷
