Was I too nice?

The guy and I were about to have our second date. The night before he only had an hour of sleep. Anyways, he was supposed to pick me up at 4, he didn't show up nor texted me, so I decided to call and ask what's up. He says sorry he was asleep and I said, it's okay we can go another time. He said, no we are going today (yesterday). We ended up going and I mean, it was a great night, I had so much fun. But, was I too nice? He promised it wouldn't happen again.

No....you weren't being too nice. You had a good time. He was tired but didn't cancel on you. He went with you and you enjoyed it. He could have said yes, when you suggested going another time. He was also being nice.
