Should I become friends with a girl who used to be my enemy?

I have a classmate that I don't like I always used to fight with her when I was in elementary school but when we got in 7th grade we stopped fighting with each other but we still didn't get along we barely even talked to each other one day I went to school and forgot to wear my contact Lenses(I'm supposed to wear glasses since they r better but I always break them so my family lost hope) my eyes started to hurt and worse I already had headache and stomachache that day Suddenly that girl said : hey I don't wanna sit in the front switch places with me
I said yes happyily even tho I didn't like her but sitting in front that day was like heaven to me cause I barely could look at the board and the teacher when I was behind without my contact lenses
then at lunch break she suddenly came to me and asked me: are you okay now? Your eyes hurts right ? what else hurts? r u sick? I was surprised tbh she was the only one who noticed she helped me a lot that day
Now spring break is over and it's new school year
Should I try to be her friend? I'm afraid that we won't get along...
