How do I feel better,

1. Im sick with a cold

2. I am having a very bad body image day, even after doing a hard strength training workout yesterday (Ive been wanting to lose weight since I was 13. 5"4 and 73kg at the mo) i hate my flat bum, big tummy, lack of real curves, and big fat bingo wing arms.

3. Boyfriend is ill so I cant talk to him about it (and dont feel comfy doing so since it has only been a month, plus he is literally doing the least to keep me with him but hey, he apologises all the time for being busy... just makes me feel shitty and unwanted but clingy and needy

4. I have to study for a test but I am just not up for it and feel bad because I am failing all of my classes right now but everyday procrastinate it (getting passes instead of the A's that I am predicted.

5. Current mood is triggering thoughts of my past

I feel like if I just sucked it up and got on with life I could study and get through it but tonight I feel so weak and tired and alone. Had to stop myself thinking of eating food as a comfort too.
Im trying to keep it together

Help anyone please

Try eating less carbs than you burn in a day to lose weight, and make them nutrient dense

I eat mostly fruit, meats (chicken or beef), and nuts, almost Paelo.
Thanks for the advice, I will try out low carb diet and see how it works out
@VioletSea: try to eat less meat and more grain and vegetables. An excess of protein is not efficient for burning energy and leads to higher risk of heart disease. The body will burn carbs then fat them protein so having more COMPLEX carbs will give you more energy. Drink more water as well. Me personally, I'm 6'0" and only 130 so I don't really have to worry about what I eat right now lol. I think my BMR is about 1300-1500 calories (the amount I burn for sitting in a chair all day) so I suggest looking up a BMR calculator and go from there. I try to eat around3,000 calories a day as I want to go in the Army and I need to gain ten more pounds lol

@JerseyDevil:
Oh cool! I want to join the army too, I can do most of the required exercises easily e.g. 15 push ups in a row
I will have to re-make my meal plan! Thanks for the ideas
I had no idea about the protein thing
@VioletSea: what country are you from? The PFT for America is 35 push-ups in two minutes minimum but that's for men so idk
VioletSea · 26-30, F
@JerseyDevil:
For the UK for the Air Forces I think it is 20 for women?
@VioletSea: oh okay. For the American Army for men I need to do 35 push-ups in 2 minutes, 80 sit-ups? Not sure but in 2 minutes and around a 16 minute two mile. You also have to complete the ASVAB before you join to see if you qualify (which I do I got the highest grade in my class lol) so basically if you get a 31 you're SoL since that's the minimum score but I got an 85 so I'm looking into the MOS 35M which is basically Army Intelligence but more field oriented
