Getting relaxed before you go to bed can help a lot. Spend a few minutes sitting quietly and just focusing on your breath before you go to bed. It sets the tone for a relaxed restful sleep. Consistency is key.

I sleep a lot better when I meditate before bed. Even just taking a little time to relax each part of my body before bed makes a difference. I haven't had night terrors in a long time, but doing this still helps me with the nightmares I still get sometimes.

I used to be able to "wake up" in them and change the outcome, but haven't been able to do that in a long time.
@IrishHeart21: I don't know if I've ever had that happen. Even if I "woke up" in them and I knew it wasn't real, I still couldn't change anything or convince myself not to be terrified.
I used to sometimes sleep walk during my night terrors and freak out everyone else in the house. :p
I hope you can find something that helps you have a more peaceful and restful sleep.

Anxiety attack? Natural options? A psychologist perhaps? Or hypnosis? Anxiety group?

What do you dream about?

Perhaps that's why. Did you experience a traumatic fire situation in the past?@IrishHeart21:

Never, no house fires, no forest fires. Grew up camping, building and learning how to control camp fires, love bonfires.

@IrishHeart21: those 2 could be related

Yes I had them until I dealt with my childhood Dysfunctional Family.
