Should I Do It?

I found a job opening for a "Behavior Interventionist". If I get the job then I'll be working with kids who have autism. It says no experience is required and it says I will be trained for free. I've never taken care of people like this. The most experience I have with taking care of someone is my younger brothers. I have 3 of them. I think I would do just fine like always do. I always make it work...But have any of you ever done this kind of job before? And if so what can you tell me about it? What was it like? I'm thinking of trying it out because I'm kind of unemployed and they said they would pay $16.25hr. Is it a stressful job?

Every autistic child that I have worked with has been a sweetheart. They have their moments though (depending on their condition bc autism ranges from mild to severe and there are many different kinds) but you will be trained for it and you'll learn more as you go on. Good luck!!

I wish I could take it haha I used to babysit a little boy with Autism for around 4 years and was so sad to find out that he and his family were planning to move out of state. He was like the little sibling I never had but always wanted haha
The only times I ever got really stressed with him was when he'd throw random fits or do something inappropriate in public.
Lots of tantrums. So patience is key.
But everyone's different. There are high functioning and low functioning children with Autism as well as other types of Autism spectrum disorders.

I don't really know what else to say about it.. just do some research on it so that you know what to expect :)

My little bro has autism. Its very very mild and he will be fine as he grows. It can be difficult but you just need patience. GL!
