unable to log out nor delete a facebook page

I am in twice. Two different names. The one I want to keep has my middle initial. I have struggled, gone through all the clicks to deactivate the original, and the it still remains. Rebooting as well and it still is there. Has anyone else been able to deactivate or remove a name. Yes I have the pass word. I cannot kill it. Am I stuck with two forever? I have all 4 steps steps written down. Can't reach F.B. to do this for me.

I have two facebooks. One is deactivated and will never go away. I deactivated it 2 years ago. I can sign in again and it's there. It never disappears.

You can delete it forever if you want. I did that to my work facebook. it takes 14 days for them to delete it in case you change your mind. Once you set up the deletion and log back in I think it asks if you still want to delete it.

Log in so it is open (this can be done even if you deactivated your account)Providing you still have your password (to get back in if you want) NOW 'log out'
It will appear you are offline.
Mine I discovered was still showing till I logged out.
