Then I'd say just snag a cheap netbook of some kind, keep your budget around $200 or under for something that's just for standard internet browsing and streaming. You won't need anything impressive. Anything more than that is just being excessive unless you really want a massive screen, which kinda eliminates some of the portability that laptops are generally for. Also, keeping things cheap is good since the half-life on laptops is only around 1 year in most cases, especially with heavy use.

If you want some suggested brands then I would generally go with something like an HP, they're the most dependable. But netbooks are practically disposable and you can often get them with complete warranties, so you could literally just take a hammer to it and smash it and bring it in for a new one. So an entirely reliable one isn't even necessary if you think you can get an especially good deal. Last netbook I purchased was a measly $70 on a Black Friday sale and I got a warranty on it as well. Have gone through a few others before this one too over the years. Thing works just fine for my needs, though it [i]is[/i] tiny. You should be able to get something of reasonable size for a couple hundred dollars.
