How Do I Act " Straight " ?

So tomorrow I'm playing a role in some class skit ( they just dumped a role on me today and told me to be ready by tomorrow ) and I'm playing this confident guy who has like the stereotypical qualities of what a straight man would be.

So here's the problem, I'm gay.

I talk " gay " and it will not fit into the role of I act confident and gay because that's not how the role is supposed to come off as.

I have like an hour left before I plan to sleep and I really want to try and make this a good performance. I know it's quite impossible to completely act straight overnight but I would love to have some pointers on how I can improve my performance.

For example, maybe the way I sit, or the way I pronounce words, or the words I can and cannot use.

I would really appreciate any help and thanks in advance :) !!

I suggest you ask your teacher. If your roll as well as THE Play itself is a comedy, I can see possibilities. Otherwise, defend your self if you receive cat-calls the same as you would in any daily activity. (it's called ad lib)
Acting is about being able to switch personalities to create the next scene.
They are testing your ability to change with the scene. Perhaps create it as a comedy. Make yourself into a dual personality.... UNLESS you are following a script.
Interested in how this comes to be.
Let us now the outcome.
