Can I tell my shrink about my drug use?

I have a great psychiatrist, who seems to be very serious about maintaining confidentiality. She has not told my parents anything as far as I know, and I have told her some intimate stuff (like my depression) so can I tell her about my drug use? Would she tell my parents if she knew I was drinking and getting stoned?

@WorldAtArms2000: there is a point where if you are a danger to yourself or others then the confidentiality contract won't apply. But idk for sure dude. Dont do drugs all the time, it's stupid, that I do know. Focus on preparing for your future

@Peacepuppyx: I'm not a danger to myself. I don't have any addictions, and I've never even consumed dangerous amounts of booze or weed. Those are the only two things I do. I think it would be more of a legal issue.
