be very careful with advice from SW. you have been warned

99.9% of people here aren’t experts. Most are struggling with their own mess — broke, confused, or trying to fix themselves. That’s why they’re here.
No hate, just reality: think twice before taking advice from random people online.
If everyone here had it all figured out, they wouldn’t be here in the first place.
I’ve seen people give medical advice that could literally be life-threatening. Now imagine how bad it can get when the topic is mental health, relationships, or life decisions. Sometimes the worst thing you can do is listen to the wrong person.

You have not been around long enough to know just how beautiful some of these people are here.
They are normal everyday individuals like yourself. Some don't need help. Some are well put together. Some are big, some are small.
Some are short, some are tall. Some are rich, some are poor. And some are actually finding love here every day and so much more.
So don't just paint everybody with one broad brush please. Understand that if people are here it's simply because they are human.

@Zonuss couldn't express that better.

@Zonuss I've been since it exists. I was on EP for many years
@Zonuss definitely, though what the poster said is true too.

@Zonuss You impress me as being a 'healthy' person! I think you have made your point and put @dpoet's message in a kinder light. But, I have read some very distraught people's pleas on here and I do worry sometimes that they may seize on 'ONE" solution rather than taking a broader viewpoint from all the offerings.
I was reading the "EP" forum (here), past subscribers' opinions of it, last evening and I was surprised at the number of negative opinions people had of it. I was on it for at least 7 years and I really enjoyed the interactions, the perspectives and human kindness expressed there. Howevesr, some people do need 'real' counselling and places like this and EP are not that.
In Canada where I live, psychological counselling is more available to lower-income people than it appears to be in the USA.... Not that we're all sane, but at least we can afford to get the certified counselling that can help keep us in the mainstream of society - IF we have enough sanity to realize when we need help!!

@Zonuss I couldn’t agree more with you.

@Bleak Thank you. I grow weary of those who think this site only attracts the dysfunctional. It's quite diverse. Nothing more could be further from the truth. ☺

@Zonuss Absolutely. It’s easy to assume. People come here from all walks of life; just seeking connection and insight.
