What questions MUST we ask the landlord during a room/apartment viewing?

Just as an aside from the basics, when looking at apartments in apartment complexes or buildings, I’d actually try to catch a few tenants who were milling about to ask how they liked living there, positives, negatives, etc. to get more of a feel for the place.

@OlderSometimesWiser yes because they are going to show you their nicest, "show apartment".
The photos on the apartments websites are put there by the apartment themselves so you most likely aren't seeing what it really is.

Google reviews is good for that
@iamnikki Yes, and it’s good to talk to people who’ve experienced living there for awhile. Plus I’m pretty good at getting the real story out of them. 😉
