I know this is long but I could really use some advice. Are all of these things normal?? .

So a guy is doing a lot of stuff for me around the house. He's not a professional, hes my friends husband. He gave me an estimate for everything and told me to get other estimates because he would charge about half the price as professionals. He wasn't. He was actually 1000.00 more expensive than one of the estimates and not far behind the others. Anyway he tells me up front that he does a great job and everything will be perfect like the professionals.
So I wrote a list of things I don't think is normal. Especially since he told me he was as good as a professional. Please tell me if I'm wrong.
- bought and almost put in the wrong doors, and when I told him I didn't want them he tried to talk me into them. I held firm.

-He told me up front that every window would fit within an inch. He's had to cut into my drywall and take all the 2x4s out and set them wider. Plus he didn't leave any room for a small shelf in the kitchen.

-complained about the door openings weren't already a 45° angle. He new this going in. My house is old and it's settled unevenly.

- complained about having to replace the floor around it . Was supposed to sister on the existing beams, but didn't.

-my bathroom floor needed to be pulled up in order to stabilize a load bearing wall. He's complaining about that. And complained about it had moisture under the house.

-Now the doors he finally replaced, one is scraping the floor.

-i wanted a doggie door put in. But he obviously didn't read the directions because the flap is sticking to the sides and the dogs don't want to use it.

-drove his heavy truck through my yard and left ruts.

-he took the plastic off my bedroom windows and hasn't put the new windows in so it's a lot colder up there.

-my downstairs bathroom hasn't been fixed after he took the toilet and sink out. It's been 12 days.

-and I told him if he needed anything off the wall when he's putting in the windows let me know. He said it wouldn't be necessary. So I came down one morning and an antique strainer was laying on the floor and he obviously stepped on it because it's bowed inward and is not useable anymore.

The windows should have fit had they been ordered correctly. My son installs windows and doors for a living and unless the customer asks for a bigger window the windows should fit the existing opening.

The fact that he is complaining about so many things is ridiculous. He took the job, he should do the job correctly and be grateful for it.
