First things first. Happy early birthday 🥳. I’m the worst at remembering birthdays so wanted to put that out there while it was fresh.
I’m only halfway through my 40’s, but the first half really taught me what was worthy of my energy and what wasn’t. If I would have been open to that enlightenment and self-love earlier, I really would have had a much lighter venture into this chapter with less fights with myself and the world around me. I know for a fact the stress endured would have been on such a smaller scale too. Stress has been a killer for me this decade because I don’t think I was really prepared for the level of adulting this decade has brought. So, my advice. Eat the piece of cake. Put a candle on it. Light it. Make a wish. And blow out that flame. Because cake is awesome and shouldn’t ever not be a thing. Then start communicating with yourself as soon as possible. Open that line to your core that knows what you want from this life, and from yourself as a person living it. Begin the journey of letting go of what no longer serves you, and start paving the way for what you feel will because it takes time. A lot of time and spending a good part of your 40’s doing it is flat out whack. …do people still say whack? Leaving it anyway.
