There was a misunderstanding and now one of the employees won’t speak or look at me. What do I do?

So there was a little misunderstanding at work and now she won’t even look at me. So the other day I politely said hi and she said hi back and I asked what her name was (don’t know many teachers). I was like, “Oh! You’re Mrs (last name), she looked at me and said, “What’s that supposed to mean?”
I was like, “No no. It isn’t bad. It’s just that I don’t know many teachers and I heard the names a couple times. Nothing bad.”
She was like, “Oh.” Then when I tried to introduce myself, she did respond and walked away. Today I tried saying hello but she didn’t even look at me and ignored my comments and kept talking to the teacher and student that she is proud of. She didn’t even look at me and walked off.
I didn’t do anything wrong. Another staff said, “She probably thought you were rude and you did say “Oh so you’re, what’s her name.” Or she is probably sensitive. She won’t talk to you, just leave it alone and move on. Apologies and move on.” I guess.
She sounds overly sensitive don't worry yourself too much you can't be everyone's cup of tea.

but I mean you could apologize to her and say hey I'm sorry if I came across the wrong way it was not my intention I just wanted to introduce myself.@ElizabethBabe1994

@Wallflow3r how do you know?
Pull a George McFly, find the courage, ball up that fist, and punch her out.

I feel your pain. Office misunderstandings are the worst because they are people you are forced to be around. Unfortunately, some just make drama everywhere they go. Just show your best face wherever you go and give her space.

Oh well, don't let her get you all upset. You can not control others, but you can control your reactions center][/center]
