What should I/we call my new boyfriend?

I have been talking to a guy who has the same name/spelling as by brother-Luis. I found it a little off putting but there is definitely a connection with him. I don’t wanna be shallow and say “I can’t date you, you share the same name as by brother” but I don’t know how to make it less strange. Any ideas? He has a middle name but I don’t know if he truly likes it lol
