Should I be straight up and ask?

So this guy likes me and he has been trying to impress me and try to get with me but I'm making him wait and honestly I don't seem to have interest in him. But today I accidentally saw a notification pop up from his phone and its the name of a girl with heart emojis next to it. Should I ask what the deal is or just let it go?

He's not attached. You're not attached. He's just trying to hit it. If you're not interested, let him be and tell him the truth. Grabbing a free meal is wrong no matter what he says because you know what he's thinking.
