Should I be straight up and ask?

So this guy likes me and he has been trying to impress me and try to get with me but I'm making him wait and honestly I don't seem to have interest in him. But today I accidentally saw a notification pop up from his phone and its the name of a girl with heart emojis next to it. Should I ask what the deal is or just let it go?

If you really aren't interested, it doesn't matter if you ask or not. There's no point making him feel guilty if you don't like him though.
