An odd Q, perhaps. And only one I would ask under anonymity:

Is the oldest profession in lockdown, socially distancing? I wonder...

Everyone else thinks life's resumed in London. So I social distance from them.
I'm sorry but I think people are so selfish they're forgetting what this means if we have a second wave. We need freedom we need things to resume for the economy and our livelihood.
But honestly there's no life of there's no health.

@Peppa What’s the tube like these days? Last time I went was on 5 March. Luckily, everyone had some immunity there against the imminent mass killing pandemic virus. Hey ho.

@Valentine I don't know, I refuse to take public transport. Because although people are being fined they are still getting on these things without a mask.
They issued 59 the first morning they set the fines and a further 44 were kicked off the buses.

I've seen three videos surface about people hurling abuse at transport workers over this.

People are selfish and angry.

@Peppa If everyone takes the Michael, we're heading for a second lockdown.

I'm ashamed to see so many young people not care.
I understand that many haven't died from covid, they don't maybe know anyone that has.
But after watching my dad pass away and take his past tired breath. I would never ever ever wish that on anyone.
Nobody knows who has it, they could all be carriers and end up passing it to a family member.
My ex I'm sure he was probably one of the ones out there partying when he told me he was just staying home.
But I'm too much of a worry guts to allow my self to get it so carelessly. The bottom line was when Boris was easing us back out again. What he should have done is released the people that have to return to work first. And Implemented a phased day out like 2-3 hours. But it seems maybe rioting was too much of a high probability.

I'm ranting cos I'm tired.
Valentine · M
@Peppa I think Boris knows he must act. x

@Valentine do you truly believe that though? I don't know your political views, but I'm not a Conservative.
I often think because they are always thinking about those in top tier jobs they believe general public will be educated enough to be able to make good decisions, but because they never consider the lower incomed society that heavily support this economy. That often take risks simply to survive. They are quite fed up, hence the partying and don't care approach.
I hate that we are not even on his radar. Loser!

@Peppa To an extent, yes. I may prove to be naive though, so please, soft hands, if I’m proved wrong.

I hold this ever hopeful and, as I say, possibly naive view because I recognise his style of thinking. He is the sort who will say “I do not want lockdown” just to get the message across that he is considering applying it. A warning message, if anyone cares to listen.

And, what were you doing posting messages before 4am my friend, trouble sleeping? 🤗

@Valentine listen I'm not gonna snap at you I can have a healthy conversation about politics because I can openly admit that I don't know and understand everything.

But I hear what you are saying. I appreciate that he has that mindset. But I believe his party is dirty.

I do believe covid is man made.
I don't know if I believe it was a conjured plan. But I do believe this is being used to restore faith in the party...
He's in between a rock and a hard place.
If you tell Brits no they'll rebel, look at their behaviour when they go abroad to Spain and dubai...
We've created a society of 'better than, invincible thinking people'.
What I do know is that whilst Labour reigned for so long the Conservatives were in significant positions like the home office, opening borders and stuff.
The gambling problem and the pawn shop/pay day loans increased due to the Conservatives allowing it which saw a spike in homelessness and suicide rate and defined mental health so people turn to self medicating the increased use of cocaine has rocketed.
Also the push for unsustainable businesses. This country has allowed a lot of our lives to be unravelled by (we were gaslighted) only for them to 'save the day'.

I'm not a vindictive person but there were a lot of angry people observing the wealth divide disappear.

Think about it, that party predominantly contains the private 'elite' society.

Losing lives of the riff raff is no loss if they're no longer a financial strain to the economy. And we already had our pension age increased,
And they've been moaning about the care sector being strained in x amount of years...

If I'm. Not rudely awaken by my neighbour I wake up in anticipation...

@Peppa Wow. Can’t disagree with any of that. Please understand, I’m not Tory. I’m for anyone who properly stands up for this country and ALL its people. A difficult balancing act, with self interest and greed in ready supply. The political system is flawed. But I can’t envisage a better one. x

@Valentine This is England!
Ha!

@Peppa I can think of soooo many places which would be far far worse to live in. 🥺
Peppa · 31-35, F
@Valentine of course, we have health care and benefits.
